Ahead of that fight, Crawford and Topuria traded verbal barbs, with \u201cEl Matador\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/ufc\/402647\/morning-report-ilia-topuria-predicts-knockout-of-terence-crawford-on-first-contact\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">claiming he expects a fast knockout of Crawford<\/a> should they ever meet in the ring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Crawford appeared to throw subtle shade at Topuria by entering to the song Canci\u00f3n del mariachi for his fight with Alvarez. Prior to that win, Topuria won and successfully defended the featherweight title once, knocking out future Hall of Famers Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski.
