At \u00a334, \u00a336 and \u00a339 per month respectively, Giffgaff’s new broadband deals<\/a> are not the cheapest plans on the market, but the offer of monthly rolling contracts is rare in the broadband industry. Essentially, like Giffgaff’s rolling phone plans, you are paying for the flexibility of being able to leave when you like.<\/p>\n It is the first broadband service from UK mobile provider Giffgaff which has launched following a trial held earlier this year. Much like its mobile plans, the firm is offering broadband on a monthly rolling basis, meaning customers have the option of signing up without committing to lengthy contracts<\/a> that could last years.<\/p>\n Three full-fibre broadband plans are offered: 200Mbps, 500Mbps and 900Mbps, with Giffgaff promising “no bundles, no add-ons, and no hidden fees<\/a>” from any. This means the plans don’t offer landline or TV bundles, and there are no set up fees. All come with an Amazon Eero Wi-Fi router.<\/p>\n You can view Giffgaff’s broadband plans here<\/a><\/p>\n The monthly rolling contracts Giffgaff offer definitely provide flexibility, but you can pay less for broadband if you shop around.<\/p>\n “While Giffgaff’s pricing<\/a> is fairly standard for a rolling contract, there are cheaper deals out there if you’re happy to sign up for longer,” said Ernest Doku of Uswitch.<\/p>\n “Virgin Media offers 264Mbps for \u00a330.50 per month<\/a> and 4th Utility offers 250Mbps for \u00a317 per month<\/a>, both on 24-month contracts.<\/p>\n “Compared to Giffgaff’s 900Mbps deal for \u00a339<\/a>, Hyperoptic currently offers speeds of 900Mbps for \u00a321 per month<\/a> on a 12-month contract and Community Fibre for \u00a320 per month<\/a> on a 24-month contract [Community Fibre is only available in London].”<\/p>\n Giffgaff said all three options are available to sign up to now in “select locations across North West England, Yorkshire and the Humber and East Midlands, rolling out in the North East from October and then across more locations before the end of the year and into 2026.”<\/p>\n Giffgaff’s service uses Virgin Media O2’s fibre network to offer broadband services. This is a different network to BT’s Openreach, which many smaller broadband providers use.<\/p>\n Giffgaff’s mobile service uses Virgin Media O2’s UK mobile network.<\/p>\n “We’ve seen our mobile business go from strength to strength by harnessing the power of people, challenging the established way and improving it, and the same will be true for Giffgaff broadband,” said Ash Schofield, Giffgaff CEO.<\/p>\n Giffgaff is also reminding potential customers about the relative ease of switching broadband providers in 2025. Whether you are out of contract or not with your current provider, Giffgaff will help you switch to a Giffgaff plan thanks to One Touch Switch, a recent industry initiative.<\/p>\n “It all happens on one day.
