Netflix has officially renewed the raunchy drama series \u201cThe Hunting Wives\u201d for a second season.<\/p>\n
Based on Mary Cobb\u2019s 2022 novel of the same name, \u201cThe Hunting Wives\u201d stars Brittany Snow as Sohie O\u2019Neil, an East cost liberal who befriends a group of wealthy conservative women when she and her husband, Graham (Evan Jonigkeit), move from Massachusetts to Texas. Sophie soon learns that her new pals have their share of secrets, especially when a teenage girl, Abby (Madison Wolfe), is found dead in the woods. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe Hunting Wives\u201d was a hit with viewers, racking up 5.2 million views within a week of its July premiere. Still, season 2 didn\u2019t seem like a guarantee until Netflix confirmed the news this week. After all, season 1 was based on a book, even if it deviated from the source material quite a bit.<\/p>\n
Snow and her costar Malin Akerman, who plays the hunting wives\u2019 ringleader, Margo Banks, announced the season 2 renewal with a video<\/a> of them FaceTiming. Nodding to their characters\u2019 steamy affair, Snow told Akerman that she would give up her \u201cdigntiy\u201d and \u201cmorals\u201d to see her again.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a feeling we\u2019re going to see each other real soon. Actually, I know we\u2019re gonna see each other really soon,\u201d Akerman replied before donning the infamous wig she wears on the show. \u201cPack your boots and load your guns cause we\u2019re going back to Maple Brook for season 2, baby!\u201d<\/p>\n Fans rejoiced upon hearing the news. <\/p>\n \u201cI still can\u2019t believe we\u2019re actually getting the hunting wives season 2 like i just have so much to live for,\u201d one viewer quipped via X. <\/p>\n \u201cLET\u2019S GOOOOOO!!!!!\u201d another fan replied to the renewal anouncement. <\/p>\n \u201cThank you, Netflix!!!
