The International Cricket Council (ICC) has accepted the demand of Pakistan to dismiss match referee Andy Pycroft; however, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hasn\u2019t confirmed its decision to play tomorrow\u2019s match.<\/p>\n

According to the sources, the PCB will hold consultations to finalise its course of action. \u201cThe decision will be taken as per the interest of Pakistan cricket,\u201d sources said.<\/p>\n

ICC replaced Andy Pycroft with Richi Richardson to supervise the match.<\/p>\n

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had held consultations with senior government officials earlier today to finalise the next course of action if ICC rejects the demand.<\/p>\n

The situation remained tense the whole day, as the Pakistan team is scheduled to face the UAE in their final group-stage match, and the PCB was standing firm on its demand to remove Andy Pycroft.<\/p>\n

The PCB had maintained that Andy Pycroft\u2019s conduct during the match against India was inappropriate and against the spirit of the game, particularly his instructions to skip the traditional handshake at the toss.<\/p>\n
