Liam Lawson has explained that a natural long-held dream of being an F1 champion is no longer as clear as he thought it would be after being axed by Red Bull<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Lawson was handed an astonishing promotion at the end of last year, replacing Sergio Perez at Red Bull after just 12 grands prix – six in each of 2023 and 2024 with the sister team – as Max Verstappen’s team-mate.<\/p>\n

F1 has finally confirmed the six rounds of the 2026 season that will host sprint events<\/a>, after the Dutch Grand Prix Twitter account accidentally leaked the calendar two months ago.<\/p>\n

As expected, those rounds will be Shanghai, Miami<\/a>, Montreal, Silverstone, Zandvoort<\/a>, and Singapore<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tF1 announce race start times for 2026 season<\/p>\n

F1 has confirmed the start times of the grands prix that will make up the 2026 calendar.<\/p>\n

The season will commence in early March from Albert Park in Australia and venture around the world before concluding at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.<\/p>\n

F1 has reached a compromise with IndyCar to avoid a direct clash between the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix and the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.<\/p>\n

The round in Montreal has been moved forward three weeks from its usual mid-June slot – starting from next season – as part of F1’s continued investment in calendar regionalisation and its work towards being carbon net zero by 2030.<\/p>\n

Cadillac team principal Graeme Lowdon has revealed the American squad is “on schedule” with its production of the first cars Valtteri Bottas<\/a> and Sergio Perez<\/a> will race next season.<\/p>\n

The General Motors-backed operation will make its F1 debut in the 2026 campaign, becoming the championship’s 11th team.<\/p>\n

Aston Martin<\/a> has confirmed the cause of Fernando Alonso’s seemingly sudden suspension failure during the Italian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Having lined up for the race at Monza in eighth, the two-time F1 drivers’ champion was running in a net seventh place, ahead of prot\u00e9g\u00e9 Gabriel Bortoleto, and looked poised for a seventh points<\/a>-scoring finish of the campaign, all from the past eight rounds after a slow start to the season.<\/p>\n
