Partizan is rather undermanned in the center position, going into the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

Partizan Belgrade coach Zeljko Obradovic<\/a> would love to see another power forward\/center added to the team\u2019s roster ahead of the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we were making the plan for this season, we knew that we had to count on injuries and a large number of games,\u201d Obradovic<\/a> said to Sportske. \u201cWe need at least six big men and at the moment we have four \u2013 [Dylan] Osetkowski and [Jabari] Parker who are healthy, and Tyrique [Jones] and [Aleksej] Poku\u0161evski who are out of the team. Of course we need another big man. We tried and worked on it all summer, but unfortunately we didn\u2019t succeed for various reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Partizan is currently in Australia with fellow EuroLeague club and Obradovic\u2019s longtime former team Panathinaikos<\/a> Athens for the annual \u201cPavlos Giannakopoulos tournament.\u201d The two teams will face each other in the opener Thursday (19\/8) in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tour was designed in such a way that we and Panathinaikos<\/a> would go there, because there are a lot of our people, also a lot of Greeks,\u201d commented Obradovic. \u201cI don\u2019t know exactly what Panathinaikos\u2019 lineup is, because the most important thing is to take care of us, we are in a very specific situation. Because Tyrique and Frank [Ntilikina] are here, and it\u2019s a good thing that Vanja [Marinkovic] had his first training session yesterday, that he will travel with us and I hope that Carlik Jones will play. We still need [Isaac] Bonga, who will get seven days off after what happened at the European Championship, because that is certainly necessary for him. And that\u2019s it, with these kids we go and with the other players and whatever it is, we will try to use that stay there and those games to see where we are and what we are\u201d.<\/p>\n

The new EuroLeague season begins on 30\/9\u00a0 for Partizan with an away game at newcomer Dubai Basketball. In the ABA League, Obradovic and his players will face Krka Novo Mesto on 06\/10.<\/p>\n
