Picture: AFL Photos<\/p>\n<p>ADELAIDE premiership forward\u00a0Hannah Munyard\u00a0could make a shock return this year, despite breaking her ankle in round one.<\/p>\n<p>Munyard has leaped through her rehab milestones after ankle surgery, and has already progressed through plaster, a moonboot and is now weight-bearing unaided.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s still got some work to do now on strengthening her ankle and the ligaments surrounding it, but I&#8217;d suggest she might be ready to return to the field in about four to six weeks,&#8221; Crows head of AFLW Phil Harper said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At the time of her injury, we thought she would be out for the season, but her recovery powers have been greater than expected and she&#8217;s heading in the right direction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Teammate\u00a0Caitlin Gould\u00a0is likely to miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured wrist, while\u00a0Sarah Allan\u00a0(knee corky) should take her place in the side this week.<\/p>\n<p>Lauren Young, one of the most decorated juniors in women&#8217;s football, is finally set to make her AFLW debut with Port Adelaide, recovering from a torn ACL suffered last year, as well as a concussion picked up last week. Picture: AFL Photos<\/p>\n<p>Sydney hardnut\u00a0Julie O&#8217;Sullivan\u00a0has been ruled out for the year after scans confirmed a ruptured left ACL, but\u00a0Lexi Hamilton\u00a0is still a chance to play after being taken to hospital for scans on her ribs and lungs.<\/p>\n<p>Brisbane forward\u00a0Ellie Hampson\u00a0will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks with a broken collarbone.<\/p>\n<p>Melbourne is getting through the injury woods, with\u00a0Tahlia Gillard\u00a0(MCL) and\u00a0Sinead Goldrick\u00a0(shoulder) tests for this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The news isn&#8217;t as good for Essendon, with injury replacement signing\u00a0Jess Verbrugge\u00a0ruled out for the year with a syndesmosis issue.\u00a0Daria Bannister\u00a0(hand),\u00a0Brooke Brown\u00a0(bone stress) and\u00a0Georgia Gee\u00a0(neck) are tests for this week.<\/p>\n<p>                    Georgia Gee handballs during Essendon&#8217;s clash against West Coast in round two, 2025.
