Kylie Minogue<\/a> has said if a biopic was ever made of her she would want her character to be played by fellow Aussie icon Margot Robbie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Robbie found out about this in a recent interview<\/a> she was left star-stuck before saying she won’t ever do it.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”You know, Margot, Kylie has said a few times that she would love you to play her in a movie,” Scott Mills told the Barbie actress<\/a> in an interview on his breakfast radio show.<\/p>\n

“She did not,” Robbie responded in shock.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”Why has no one ever told me this before. That is wild information.”<\/p>\n

Mills continued to explain that Minogue “has said if a movie is ever made about her life, she would like you to be doing that”.<\/p>\n

He then proceeded to ask her if she would do it.<\/p>\n

“I am beyond honoured\ufeff,” a star-struck Robbie continued.<\/p>\n

But while it’s a huge honour, she won’t do it, for one simple reason.<\/p>\n

“O\ufefff course I could not do it, I can’t sing,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“I can’t sing like Kylie.”<\/p>\n

Mills proceeded to suggest that the vocals could be added in post to which Robbie flatly refused.<\/p>\n

“No, \ufeffI don’t like it when people can’t actually sing and do a singing movie, you know?” she said.<\/p>\n

Minogue revealed in an interview with E! Online back in 2023 that Robbie would be her ideal actor for a hypothetical biopic.<\/p>\n

“Margot Robbie, in my dreams,” she told the publication.<\/p>\n

“She’d have the Australian accent down, that’s for sure.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

“Stop it,” Robbie said as she revelled in this new information.<\/p>\n

“Kylie by the way is the first concert I ever went to, Kylie Fever Tour.<\/p>\n

“Years later, when I was over in America at this point I got a call from my team being like, ‘Kylie Minogue would like to meet up with you’.<\/p>\n

“And I got there and I was like, ‘wow\ufeff’ and she sat down, the coolest, warmest, most divine creature you’ve ever met and she was just like, ‘Oh I just, you know, thought you’re an Aussie and I’m an Aussie and we’ve never met. We should probably hang out’.”<\/p>\n

\ufeffRobbie explained that the pair, who both appeared on the Aussie soap Neighbours, ended up having cocktails and “talked about everything”.<\/p>\n

“There was no work conversation whatsoever,” she said.<\/p>\n

“We just got drunk together, it was just the best … She just wanted to hang.”<\/p>\n
