Geelong football great Cameron Ling has visited his old primary school, bringing the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Cup with him.<\/p>\n
Lingy delighted students Fyans Park Primary School in Newtown on Wednesday morning, showing off the Cup and having a kick of the footy with kids, including his son Ged.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo see the kids here today so excited reminds me of when I was their age, dreaming of one day playing for the Cats. Having the Premiership Cup visit schools and communities like this can spark that same dream for the next generation \u2013 and that\u2019s what makes this tour so worthwhile,\u201d Lingy said.<\/p>\n

Ling, himself a three-time Premiership winner with the Cats, still enjoys the excitement of the finals series.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always get the goosebumps this time of year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As for whether or not he thinks the Cup may soon be returning to Geelong, Lingy isn\u2019t looking too far ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe nerves are building for Friday night, let\u2019s get over the Hawks first,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is going back to the old playing days clich\u00e9, one week at a time, but you can look a little bit further and just picture Paddy Dangerfield and Chris Scott holding up that Premiership Cup, It would be very, very special.\u201d<\/p>\n
