The ATP has filled its vacant CEO position with former tennis player and longtime sports executive Eno Polo, who had served as a player representative on the tour\u2019s board of directors since 2021. <\/p>\n
CAA Executive Search assisted in the search. Polo will be based in the ATP\u2019s London office.<\/p>\n
The ATP had been in the market for a CEO since it announced in April that Massimo Calvelli (now an operating partner at RedBird) would depart the role<\/a> at the end of June.<\/p>\n It now brings in Polo, whose sports business resume includes stops at Nike (including as GM of Juventus Merchandising), Global Brands Group, FIFA, LeDap Group and Premier Padel in executive roles that spanned marketing\/general management at Nike to CEO of Premier Padel. He will be tasked with overseeing the ATP\u2019s global operations and advancement of its OneVision strategic plan, which aims to unify stakeholders within tennis and boost investment<\/a> in the ATP Tour\u2019s premium events.<\/p>\n \u201cEno is a dynamic and accomplished leader who understands both the commercial landscape and the intricacies of professional tennis,\u201d ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi, who had served as interim CEO during the search, said in a statement. \u201cHis tenure on the ATP Board has given him direct insight into the sport\u2019s challenges and opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n
