It has been suggested Tszyu\u2019s team changes will include head trainer and uncle Igor Goloubev, plus longtime manager Glen Jennings.<\/p>\n<p>The revelation comes as Paro has also opened up to Fox Sports Australia about the \u201cdrastic power change\u201d set to accompany his own hyped move to welterweight on Thursday night, which arrives in the form of an IBF world title eliminator against undefeated Frenchman David Papot.<\/p>\n<p>Paro vs Papot | THURSDAY 18 SEPT 7PM AEST | Liam Paro\u2019s quest to recapture gold continues, as he moves up in weight to take on undefeated Frenchman David Papot, with the winner set up to compete for the IBF Welterweight Title. | <a href=\"https:\/\/mainevent.kayosports.com.au\/boxing\/paro-vs-papot?pg=default&amp;extcamp=fsaeditoriallinkboxing-edt-fsp-lnk-awr-grc-box-kyo&amp;channel=fsa&amp;campaign=fsacontra&amp;voucher=\" title=\"mainevent.kayosports.com.au\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Having already won and lost a super lightweight crown in the past year, Paro is now moving up a division in the Brisbane showcase &#8211; with both the fighter and head coach Alfie Di Carlo insisting the Mackay southpaw is punching harder than ever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd this French bloke,\u201d Di Carlo warned, \u201cis going to feel it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"i-amphtml-fill-content i-amphtml-replaced-content\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1757873113_439_poster-fallback.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Paro agreed, stressing: \u201cI\u2019ve got even more dynamite in my hands now\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Di Carlo also rejected suggestions his fighter\u2019s current IBF title push could be blocked by any perceived bad blood with heavyweight UK promoter Eddie Hearn.<\/p>\n<p>The trainer also stressed a win over Papot will see the Queenslander challenging to become a two-weight world champ in his next fight, and as early as the opening months of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Papot misses weight for Paro showdown | 05:35<\/p>\n<p>It comes as No Limit\u2019s Rose brothers are also currently discussing return fights for both Tszyu boys.<\/p>\n<p>Despite having suffered three losses from his past four fights \u2013 albeit in world title bouts against Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev \u2013 Tim Tszyu\u2019s return is set to draw plenty of interest and eyeballs.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, it was thought the former world champ would spend the rest of this year regrouping after a July stoppage loss against Fundora.<\/p>\n<p>However, following a lengthy getaway to Japan with wife Alexandra, the 30-year-old is now back training and considering a return in December.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday evening, Tszyu posted on Instagram that he would be changing up his crew for his next fight.<\/p>\n<p>It comes as Team Tszyu has been criticised following his most recent title losses, with Australian great Jeff Fenech branding them \u201cclowns\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to make an official statement before it goes out to the public,\u201d Tszyu wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince my last fight, I\u2019ve had time to reflect and I can feel that fire still burning inside me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe this next part of my journey will be my best yet. which will almost certainly take place at a catchweight &#8211; while Paro can win his way into a showdown with new IBF welterweight king Lewis Crocker.<\/p>\n<p>Only last Sunday, the fighting Irishman \u2013 who is promoted by Hearn &#8212; won the strap via a contentious split decision against Paddy Donovan.<\/p>\n<p>Almost immediately however, his promoter began talking up a potential showdown with Matchroom stablemate, Conor Benn.<\/p>\n<p>That inevitably led to suggestions Hearn may try to deliberately avoid Paro, who he also previously promoted until the Aussie split with Matchroom this year to join No Limit.<\/p>\n<p>Di Carlo stressed however that he and his fighter had no problems with Hearn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThings didn\u2019t end on bad terms with Eddie,\u201d the trainer said. \u201cIt was just business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Liam signing so young (to Matchroom), it meant he has been fighting on the road with them for five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also hasn\u2019t really had the chance to become a star here, either.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut now, I really think Liam can become the best thing Australia has in terms of pay-per-view potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s also got a partner now, wants to start a family soon \u2026 so being away from home for long chunks is no longer ideal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year, in total, we were away four months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd that takes its toll.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paro ready to go in &#8216;guns blazing&#8217; | 00:50<\/p>\n<p>So as for talk of Benn stealing that IBF shot?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook, boxing is boxing,\u201d he shrugged. \u201cAnd politics will always be involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut one of the great things about the IBF, they stick strong on their defences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo (Crocker) will have to defend in 120 days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it\u2019s my understanding, unless they know something we don\u2019t, that Conor Benn already has a fight lined up at the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe other thing I\u2019ll say is that I don\u2019t think Benn makes welterweight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if he does, it wouldn\u2019t be as the same fighter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe would be seriously depleted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019ll also say that due to the Rose boys\u2019 connections, Lewis Crocker isn\u2019t the only champion we\u2019re looking at, either.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paro, meanwhile, said he was ready to showcase his improved power against Papot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Dramatic 24 hours&#8217; after card chaos | 00:59<\/p>\n<p>Back in June, the Queenslander took the first step towards his welterweight switch, taking on American Jonathan Navarro at a 65.2kg catchweight \u2013 and brutally stopping him within five rounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I\u2019ve got even more dynamite in each hand now,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis camp, there has been a drastic power change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you can ask my sparring partners, they\u2019ll tell you because the boys have been copping the brunt of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m firing on all cylinders and ready to make a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m ready to test Papot\u2019s chin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Di Carlo also praised the power behind his fighter\u2019s new bulked up physique.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople always underestimate how hard Liam can hit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he\u2019s a strong kid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlways has been.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you\u2019re seeing now that as he\u2019s turning into a man, he is knocking people out with that one shot power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn sparring this camp, Liam has been really strong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPhysically, he has been holding that size, the width, and he\u2019s hitting hard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHitting real hard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s only going to get better too as he moves up and becomes a fully-fledged welterweight.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tim Tszyu is considering a shock return to the ring before the year is out &#8211;
