The unlikely pairing may be a surprise to longtime fans of Aerosmith, but Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry<\/a> and Yungblud recently shared the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>. The trio performed the heavy metal icon\u2019s solo hit \u201cMama, I\u2019m Coming Home.\u201d<\/p>\n Yungblud, 28, and Tyler, 77, also appeared at Osbourne\u2019s farewell concert with Black Sabbath earlier this year. Ultimate Classic Rock<\/a> reports Yungblud covered Black Sabbath\u2019s \u201cChanges,\u201d while Tyler performed ” \u201cTrain Kept A-Rollin\u2019,\u201d \u201cWalk This Way\u201d and Led Zeppelin\u2018s \u201cWhole Lotta Love.\u201d<\/p>\n Yungblud is an English rock singer known for his mix of punk, hip-hop and alternative rock on songs like \u201c11 Minutes\u201d (with Halsey and Travis Barker), \u201cI Think I\u2019m Okay\u201d (with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker), \u201cObey\u201d (with Bring Me the Horizon) and \u201cPatience\u201d (with KSI). Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh starred in Yungblood\u2019s recent music video for \u201cZombie.\u201d<\/p>\n But he was also just 4 years old the last time Aerosmith had a No. 1 hit, \u201cJaded,\u201d in 2001.<\/p>\n Aerosmith was scheduled to end its \u201cPeace Out\u201d tour with a Buffalo concert in February, but abruptly retired<\/a> last August due to Tyler\u2019s vocal injury. At the time, the Grammy-winning group said his voice was not expected to make a full recovery after injuring his larynx three shows into the final tour that originally began in 2023.<\/p>\n Aerosmith was one of the biggest bands on the planet for decades, thanks to hits like \u201cDream On,\u201d \u201cI Don\u2019t Wanna Miss a Thing,\u201d \u201cSweet Emotion,\u201d \u201cCrazy,\u201d \u201cJanie\u2019s Got a Gun,\u201d \u201cLivin\u2019 on the Edge\u201d and the Run-DMC collaboration \u201cWalk This Way.\u201d They were the first artist to have its own \u201cGuitar Hero\u201d video game and performed on some of the world\u2019s biggest stages, including the Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours.
