\n\tThe Circuito de Jerez \u2013 Angel Nieto, Andalucia, hosted a few MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship teams and riders for a two-day test on Tuesday and Wednesday. The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team outfit were one team who took part in the test, with race riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani on the track on Wednesday while test rider Xavi Fores took part on the opening day of the test.<\/p>\n
\n\tBoth riders finished inside the top three of Wednesday\u2019s action, with Lowes just ahead of his teammate. On the opening day, Fores tested components and setup options before Bassani and Lowes were able to on Wednesday. The #22 set a 1\u201938.845s as he finished second, behind Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC), on the second day which took place in scorching conditions on the south of Spain.<\/p>\n
\n\tReviewing his single test day, Lowes said: \u201cThat was a good day\u2019s work over 70 laps. We tried some new items, confirming some ideas that we had before. The track was really hot, but it is always good to practice in these types of conditions. We were coming off a good weekend in Magny Cours, so the target was to keep the momentum, keep the positivity, and we know Aragon is not our strongest track. So, we want to arrive there fresh and as positively as possible to achieve the best results. A good day at Jerez, so massive thanks to the team, who have been working since yesterday with Xavi. There were hot working conditions for them in the garage while they were changing lots of things. Testing is always busy for all the guys, so a big thank you to them, and now we are focused on MotorLand Aragon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tBoth riders were inside the top three with Bassani claimed third, around three tenths behind his teammate, with \u2018El Bocia\u2019 working on the setup of the KB998 Rimini and the electronics, with Bassani believing they found something for the final three rounds of the season which come from Aragon, Estoril and Jerez.<\/p>\n
\n\tOn his test, Bassani said: \u201cWe did a lot of laps on Wednesday morning, I think 65. It was a good test, and we tried a lot of things on the setup of the bike, and with the electronics. I think we found something for the next races. It was really hot today, which was good in the morning, but in the afternoon, it was quite impossible to test things, because it was 60\u00b0C on the asphalt and sometimes that can be confusing. But I think we did a really good job all together, and we are ready for the next race.\u201d<\/p>\n
