The Calgary Police Service is asking for help from the public in identifying suspects in the theft of a custom, carbon fibre handbike used for para-cycling valued at roughly $35,000.<\/p>\n
Police said in a press release that the stolen bike is a \u201cModel R2020 black carbon bike with Canadian national team para-athlete components attached to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
The bike is believed to have been stolen at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, when two men broke into an underground parking garage along 16th Avenue S.W.<\/p>\n
Police say that a witness saw the suspects pushing the bike later the following morning, along with CCTV footage of the pair. Police described the first suspect as \u201capproximately 30 years old, between 5\u20198\u201d to 6\u2019 tall with a slim build.\u201d<\/p>\n
The individual was last seen wearing a light-coloured hooded jacket, blue jeans and a baseball cap, along with white Adidas-style shoes and carrying a light-coloured backpack.<\/p>\n
The second suspect was described the same way \u2014 approximately 30 years old, between 5\u20198\u201d to 6\u2019 tall with a slim build.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was last seen wearing a black jacket with grey sleeves, black pants, black and white runners and a black hat,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n
