Crunchyroll<\/a> announced on Thursday that it will debut the English dub<\/a> for the anime<\/a> of author Matsuri Isora<\/a> and artist Nanna Fujimi<\/a>‘s Silent Witch (Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto<\/a>) light novel series on Friday. The first three dubbed episodes will begin streaming on the same day.<\/p>\n

The English cast includes:\n<\/p>\n

The anime premiered on television on the Tokyo MX<\/a>, Tochigi TV<\/a>, Gunma TV<\/a>, and BS11<\/a> channels on July 4. Crunchyroll is streaming<\/a> the series as it airs.<\/p>\n

Takaomi Kanasaki<\/a> (KonoSuba \u2013 God\u2019s blessing on this wonderful world!!<\/a>, Princess Connect! Re:Dive<\/a>) is the chief director, and is also writing and supervising the scripts, as well as serving as the sound director. Yasuo Iwamoto<\/a> (Princess Connect! Re:Dive season 2) is directing the anime. Studio Gokumi<\/a> is producing the anime. Cona Nitanda<\/a> (Lucky na Safari de Oni Gokko!?<\/a>) is the animation character designer. Cygames<\/a> and Rina Tayama<\/a> are credited for the music. Yoshinori Iwanaga<\/a> is credited for monster and prop design. Eri Yamanashi<\/a> and Yukiko Maruyama<\/a> are the art directors. Saori Yoshida<\/a> is the color key artist. Kana Imagaki<\/a> is the 3D CG director. Naoki Et\u014d<\/a> is the compositing director of photography. Kashiko Kimura<\/a> is the editor.<\/p>\n

The hitsujibungaku<\/a> band are performing both the opening theme song “Feel” and the ending theme song “mild days.”<\/p>\n

The original novels debuted on the Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d (Let’s Become Novelists) website in February 2020. Kadokawa<\/a> began publishing the light novels in June 2021, and it released the ninth volume on February 10. The 10th volume is slated for this summer. Isora and Fujimi also debuted a two-volume prequel<\/a> novel series titled Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari (Rise of the Barrier Mage, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch -another-<\/a>). The first volume shipped in December 2023, and the second and final volume shipped in April 2024.<\/p>\n

Yen Press<\/a> licensed<\/a> the novels, and releases the series under the title Secrets of the Silent Witch<\/a>. The publisher describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

Monica Everett, the Silent Witch, is the world’s only practitioner of Voiceless Magic, a veritable heroine who single-handedly fended off the Black Dragon of legend. However, the young prodigy is actually\u2026super-duper shy! Yup, turns out she only learned Voiceless Magic to avoid speaking in public. Tobi Tana<\/a> launched a manga adaptation of the original novels in Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG COMIC<\/a> in July 2021. The manga’s fifth compiled book volume shipped in Japan on January 31. Azu Azuko also launched<\/a> a manga adaptation of the Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari prequel novels in Kadokawa’s ComicWalker<\/a> service on January 9.<\/p>\n

Yen Press also licensed<\/a> Tana, Isora, and Fujimi’s Secrets of the Silent Witch manga.<\/p>\n
