\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Gina Torres<\/a> (9-1-1: Lone Star, Suits) has joined the cast of Fox\u2019s upcoming drama series Memory of a Killer<\/a> in a heavily recurring role working opposite Patrick Dempsey.<\/p>\n

\n\tInspired by the 2003 award-winning Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, Memory of a Killer is a dramatic thriller starring Dempsey as hitman, Angelo Doyle, leading a dangerous double life while hiding an even deadlier personal secret \u2014 he has developed early onset Alzheimer\u2019s. Michael Imperioli plays Dutch, Angelo\u2019s oldest friend and an accomplished chef whose restaurant is a front for criminal enterprise.<\/p>\n

\n\tTorres will play Linda Grant, a mercurial, seasoned, and brilliantly tenacious FBI Agent who becomes a major antagonist for Angelo across Season 1. When Grant begins investigating one of Angelo\u2019s kills, it puts them on a collision course that will see Grant come perilously close to unmasking Angelo\u2019s many secrets and threatening everything he holds dear.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series also stars Richard Harmon as Joe, a hitman; Odeya Rush as Maria, Angelo\u2019s daughter; Daniel David Stewart as Jeff, Maria\u2019s husband; and Peter Gadiot as Dave, a local police detective.<\/p>\n

\n\tMemory of a Killer is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment. The series is from Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, who executive produce alongside Cathy Schulman of Welle Entertainment and David Schulner. Schulner will co-showrun the project alongside Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone. Arthur Sarkissian and Martin Campbell are also executive producers, along with Peter Bouckaert of Eyeworks.<\/p>\n

\n\tTorres is best known for playing Jessica Pearson on USA Network\u2019s hit original series Suits. She broke boundaries when, in 2019, she became the first Afro-Latina to create, star in, and produce a TV series, Pearson, a\u00a0Suits\u00a0franchise series, which saw her character Jessica take on the world of Chicago politics. For her portrayal, Torres received multiple accolades. Included amongst Torres\u2019s most notable TV credits are her performances as the Russo-Cuban assassin Anna Espinosa on Alias, the shotgun-toting mercenary Zoe Washburn on Joss Whedon\u2019s Firefly (a role she reprised in the feature film Serenity), and the soul-eating Jasmine on Whedon\u2019s Angel. <\/p>\n

\n\tMost recently, Torres was seen in Fox\u2019s 9-1-1: Lone Star playing paramedic captain Tommy Vega, who answered a call to action and returned to work amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. In November 2022, Torres received the Actress Award for Television at the 2 nd Annual Critics\u2019 Choice Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television for her role on the series. Torres also recently portrayed Kepper Yennen in Prime Video\u2019s animated series The Legend of Vox Machina and Ms. Moreno in the Disney+ animated series Kindergarten: The Musical.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the film side, Torres starred as Darcy, a cutthroat fashion mogul, in Netflix\u2019s The Perfect Find, just one of her many film credits across her 30-year career.
