The cancellation comes as the late-night television world reels from ABC\u2019s indefinite suspension of \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d after Kimmel made remarks about conservative activist Charlie Kirk\u2019s killing.<\/p>\n

Disney-owned ABC on Wednesday pulled Kimmel\u2019s late-night show off the air indefinitely after his remarks about Kirk\u2019s assassination drew fire from affiliates, regulators and the White House.<\/p>\n
The network announced Wednesday that \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d would be suspended after Nexstar Communications, which operates 23 ABC affiliates, refused to carry the program.<\/p>\n
Nexstar broadcasting president Andrew Alford called Kimmel\u2019s comments \u201coffensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kimmel had used his Monday and Tuesday monologues to criticize Republicans\u2019 response to Kirk\u2019s murder, suggesting that the suspect, Tyler Robinson, was a pro-Trump Republican.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,\u201d Kimmel told viewers Monday.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old accused gunman grew up in a conservative Mormon household in Utah but turned sharply left in the last year, embracing pro-LGBTQ causes, investigators said.<\/p>\n
He told his transgender partner that he killed Kirk because he had \u201chad enough of his hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kimmel also mocked President Trump\u2019s public response to the killing, saying, \u201cThis is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump celebrated the suspension on Truth Social, writing: \u201cCongratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump widened his war on late-night television, calling Fallon and Seth Meyers \u201ctwo total losers\u201d after ABC suspended Kimmel\u2019s show.<\/p>\n
Trump posted on Truth Social that Kimmel had \u201cZERO talent, and worse ratings than even [Stephen] Colbert, if that\u2019s possible.\u201d He added, \u201cThat leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump, who has long sparred with late-night hosts, also cheered CBS\u2019s decision earlier this year to cancel Colbert\u2019s show, calling him talentless.<\/p>\n
