Lee\u2019s birdie blitz did not match the efforts of Armitage, however.<\/p>\n
The Englishman strung together eight birdies in the space of ten holes, including six in a row, on his way to a 64.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was hitting it pretty close and just the putts started to drop,\u201d Armitage said. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think I one-putted every green for that space of holes. Yes, that will work!\u201d<\/p>\n
Australians Elvis Smylie and Daniel Gale both shot 69, to sit level with LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka at two-under par.<\/p>\n
