Asked if his driver was ready to make the step up from Racing Bulls<\/a> to Red Bull, Permane said: \u201cI think that\u2019s a tricky one at this time of year and, fortunately, we don\u2019t have to make that decision at this time of year. I\u2019m very sure, and I think it\u2019s been said, that it\u2019ll be much later in the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we have to do for Isack is make sure that we, as the trackside team, deliver perfection for him, so that he\u2019s got a car that he can perform well in, and he needs to perform well. He needs to deliver perfection as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen that when he does that, and when the car is right and suits the circuit and he puts it all together, we can have a super-strong weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Praising Hadjar\u2019s speed, Permane added: \u201cOne thing I like about him is that he\u2019s ready to listen, he\u2019s ready to accept advice and help. He doesn\u2019t want to do everything his own way.<\/p>\n

“He knows he\u2019s done 16 races, so he\u2019s happy to accept advice and input from others, and take that on board and learn from that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can see that sometimes he\u2019s a little bit harsh on himself, which he\u2019s working on, but strength-wise, that would be the main takeaway, that he\u2019s happy to learn.\u201d<\/p>\n

With reports also suggesting that Formula 2 driver Arvid Lindblad could himself step up to Racing Bulls in place of Hadjar, the team may end up facing a decision between former driver Tsunoda or incumbent Liam Lawson<\/a> for the second seat.<\/p>\n

Advising how Lawson can best convince the team of his credentials, Permane said: \u201cI think the same as Isack, the same as all the other 19 drivers are trying to do is to try and execute perfect race weekends.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one is going to be bringing more upgrades \u2013 or I doubt very much that anyone is going to be bringing more upgrades \u2013 so we\u2019ve got what we\u2019ve got at the track.<\/p>\n
