Padel could soon be a fixture at a Bradford cricket club – if planning permission is granted by the council.<\/p>\n
Woodlands Cricket Club in Oakenshaw has applied to create two courts at its Albert Terrace site, to “broaden the club’s offering to the wider community.”<\/p>\n
The racquet sport, which blends elements of tennis and squash, dates back to the 1960s, but has experienced a huge rise in popularity in recent years.<\/p>\n
The club said the courts would be sited on under-used land, and would not affect cricket activities.<\/p>\n
