A stage presentation at the KyoMAF event on Saturday for the television anime adaptation<\/a> of Syundei<\/a>‘s Go for It, Nakamura!<\/a> (Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!<\/a>) boys-love<\/a> manga revealed seven more cast members. <\/p>\n

The anime has been delayed<\/a> from 2025 to 2026 for reasons related to production.<\/p>\n

Crunchyroll<\/a> will stream the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.<\/p>\n

The anime will star Chiaki Kobayashi<\/a> as Okuto Nakamura and Yuki Sakakihara<\/a> as Aiki Hirose. Kappei Yamaguchi<\/a> and Junko Takeuchi<\/a> will also voice as-yet unrevealed characters in the anime. Yamaguchi and Takeuchi starred in a previous audio drama adaptation.<\/p>\n

Aoi Umeki<\/a> (Pop Team Epic<\/a>) is directing the anime and also writing the scripts and designing the characters. Drive<\/a> is animating the series. Naoki Yoshibe<\/a> (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure<\/a> animation director) is the assistant director, and Yasuko Aoki<\/a> (Phantom of the Idol<\/a>, Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister<\/a>) of Studio Monado<\/a> is both writing and overseeing the series scripts. Ayana Tsujita<\/a> (The Demon Prince of Momochi House<\/a>) is composing the music.<\/p>\n

Syundei first published<\/a> the original Go for It, Nakamura! manga as a short in Opera<\/a> in December 2014, but began publishing new chapters in the magazine in June 2015. Akaneshinsha<\/a> published one compiled book volume for the manga in May 2017. <\/p>\n

Seven Seas<\/a> licensed<\/a> the romantic comedy manga, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

Nakamura is a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with one of his classmates\u2013his dreamy high school classmate, Hirose. But there’s a problem: they haven’t met yet. And Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!<\/p>\n

Syundei launched a sequel titled Go for It Again, Nakamura! (Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!<\/a>) in Akaneshinsha’s boys-love anthology Opera in June 2017. Akaneshinsha published the manga’s volume in August 2021. Seven Seas published<\/a> the sequel.<\/p>\n
