Earlier this month, White revealed more details on his plans<\/a> to put together events that will be similar to Dana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> as he looks to replicate this product in boxing.<\/p>\n This past weekend in Las Vegas may have been the first major event that he has been the promoter for, but as was shown in the reactions to the card, this didn\u2019t reflect White\u2019s previous comments<\/a>.<\/p>\n In order for Zuffa Boxing and TKO to implement their plans and make some significant changes in the sport, they need a massively important act to pass.<\/p>\n Dana White may have helped put on two of the biggest boxing matches<\/a> of all time, but it\u2019s clear that this isn\u2019t his focus going forward.<\/p>\n Eddie Hearn has provided some criticism of White\u2019s plans<\/a>, as he looks to permanently change boxing legislation.<\/p>\n The Muhammad Ali<\/a> American Boxing Revival Act was put forward in July with the goal of amending the Professional Boxing Safety Act of 1996.<\/p>\n If it is passed, this would allow for the creation of Unified Boxing Organizations (UBOs), which would then give a promotion the power to own their own titles, rather than adhering to governing bodies.<\/p>\n Some have argued that this wouldn\u2019t be a positive change for the sport overall, and the fighters specifically by taking away some of their leverage that they have over promoters, which would lead to a decline in pay.<\/p>\n Despite these concerns, as reported by John S. Nash, the bill has now received cosponsor support from three more individuals.<\/p>\n As can be seen via GovTrack<\/a>, Republicans Christopher H.
