A 64-year-old man suspected of shooting at an ABC affiliate station in Sacramento was arrested Saturday, police said.<\/p>\n

The Sacramento Police Department arrested Anibal Hernandezsantana after an investigation into a vehicle at the scene led them to a home. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied building and negligent discharge of a firearm. <\/p>\n

Police spokesperson Anthony Gamble said it’s unclear how many shots were fired at the ABC10 building on Friday afternoon, but “it does appear at least three rounds did strike the building.”<\/p>\n

No one was injured. Police said investigators don’t know if the gunfire was directed at the ABC building. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe shots appear to have come from a vehicle but it\u2019s unknown if this was a targeted drive by type of incident or something random,\u201d police said in a statement Friday night.<\/p>\n

Sacramento police responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to the ABC affiliate\u2019s building on Friday. A vehicle drove by, shots were fired, then the vehicle took off, Gamble said.<\/p>\n

Video from the scene showed a window with at least three bullet holes.<\/p>\n

The gunfire comes as the station reported that <\/a>protesters had gathered outside Thursday to decry ABC’s decision to pull Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show from air <\/a>over comments about Charlie Kirk\u2019s assassination. <\/p>\n

Sacramento police said it had not determined if Friday afternoon’s gunfire was related to Kimmel’s removal. <\/p>\n

The network’s decision Wednesday to suspend Kimmel’s show came after Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr threatened to \u201ctake action\u201d against Disney and ABC<\/a> over the host’s remarks.<\/p>\n

Before ABC’s announcement, Nexstar Media Group Inc. announced that its ABC affiliates would pre-empt \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d for the foreseeable future. The group owns more than 200 stations in the U.S. and is awaiting the FCC\u2019s approval for a $6.2 billion acquisition of Tegna. <\/p>\n

The ABC10 station in Sacramento is owned by Tegna.<\/p>\n

Tegna confirmed shots were fired at the station, also known as KXTV, on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile details are still limited, importantly all of our employees are safe and unharmed,\u201d said Molly McMahon, the senior director of corporate communications. \u201cWe are fully cooperating with law enforcement and have taken additional measures to ensure the continued safety of our employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hernandezsantana was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, police said. His bail was set at $200,000, according to court records. Jail records show he was released Saturday.<\/p>\n

It is not clear if he has an attorney. <\/p>\n

The Sacramento Police Department is asking anyone with information on the incident to get in touch. <\/p>\n
