Detectives from WA’s Major Crime Division are investigating the death of a man in the Goldfields city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder early on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Police say they received reports of an unconscious man in West Lamington, near the Kalgoorlie Arboretum, about 5.50am.<\/p>\n

St John Ambulance and police attended and located the man near the corner of Hawkins Street and Memorial Drive.<\/p>\n

He had critical injuries and was declared dead soon after.<\/p>\n

The man’s age is not yet known.<\/p>\n

Police have cordoned off a large area near the arboretum, which is a popular dog exercise park, and surrounding streets.<\/p>\n

Uniformed officers and vehicles have been stationed at both entrances to the park on Hawkins Street, Memorial Drive and Marshall Street while forensic officers work at the scene.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for anyone in the area around the time of the incident, or who has any CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers or report it online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
