The Cardinals found success as a team in both singles and doubles throughout the two-day event.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTanjuatco and Shahbaz paired up at the No. 1 slot in doubles throughout the weekend and defeated Madeleine Rexroat and Ella DeFord of host Xavier by a score of 6-3. The twosome then finished the day off with a 6-2 defeat against Dayton&#8217;s Mallory Hitchcock and Baby Jordan. The duo went 3-0 to earn the MVP title also earning a doubles victory on Saturday over NKU.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Cardinals as a team took all three doubles matches from Dayton on Sunday with <a href=\"https:\/\/ballstatesports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/alana-bristow\/12468\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12468\" target=\"_blank\">Alana Bristow<\/a> pairing up with <a href=\"https:\/\/ballstatesports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/gabriella-barrera\/13035\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13035\" target=\"_blank\">Gabriella Barrera<\/a> for victory along with the BSU doubles tandem of <a href=\"https:\/\/ballstatesports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/anya-tkachyk\/13038\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13038\" target=\"_blank\">Anya Tkachyk<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ballstatesports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/asia-ting-fontana\/13039\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13039\" target=\"_blank\">Asia Ting Fontana<\/a>. Both teams took their matches by a 6-2 decision.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nOn Sunday, Ball State also competed in one singles competition taking five of the six courts from Northern Kentucky. Tanjuatco, Bristow, <a href=\"https:\/\/ballstatesports.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/jemima-williams-phillips\/12657\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12657\" target=\"_blank\">Jemima Williams-Phillips<\/a> and Tkachyk all won in straight sets over their respective opponents.
