{"id":160950,"date":"2025-09-22T11:50:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/160950\/"},"modified":"2025-09-22T11:50:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:50:10","slug":"supercars-champion-james-courtney-to-be-celebrated-at-boost-mobile-gold-coast-500-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/160950\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars champion James Courtney to be celebrated at Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOOST Mobile Australia CEO Bobby Geldens has flagged a special celebration to be held at next month\u2019s Gold Coast 500 for long-time brand ambassador and retiring Supercars star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-15-James-Courtney\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James Courtney<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Boost is the naming rights partner of the annual Surfers Paradise street race, which will span October 24-26, a fortnight after the all-important Repco Bathurst 1000.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the last chance for Courtney to race in the city in which he resides, and at the track where he and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-48-Jack-Perkins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Perkins<\/a> famously won a decade ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom day one, Australian motorsport has been in the DNA of the Boost Mobile brand,\u201d said Geldens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve supported drivers, teams and Supercars to make, we think, Supercars the spectacle it is today, so we want to celebrate the champions and the legends that are part of this sport \u2013 and we\u2019re really excited to congratulate and thank James Courtney for his amazing career at the Gold Coast 500 this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we have got something fun planned for him and the fans at the event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Undercut \u2013 Unpacking The Bend &amp; Bringing on The Mountain<\/p>\n<p>V8 Sleuth&#8217;s take on the world of Supercars from The Bend &amp; Bathurst, with thanks to Shell OTR!<\/p>\n<p>Pressed for more information, Geldens replied: \u201cWe\u2019ll drop some content soon.
