Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson has finalised a contract extension to remain a Crow until at least the end of 2029.\u2029<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old who grew up in Robe was already contracted until the end of 2027 but has now extended his tenure by a further two years.\u2029<\/p>\n
Dawson has won back-to-back Malcolm Blight Medals over the past two years and featured in the All Australian side in 2023.\u2029<\/p>\n
He joined Adelaide via a trade with Sydney at the end of 2021 and was named captain ahead of the 2023 season.\u2029<\/p>\n
Dawson did not hesitate when given the option to extend his tenure.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a club, we are making progress and everyone \u2013 the players, coaches and staff \u2013 are committed to improving,\u201d Dawson said.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re also fortunate to be backed by such passionate members and supporters too.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we all understand there\u2019s a lot of hard work ahead of us and our focus must continue to be on whatever challenge is coming up next.\u201d\u2029<\/p>\n
Crows GM List Management Justin Reid said Dawson loved the playing group and continued to drive standards at training and on game day.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cJordan is having another outstanding season, with his consistency and ability to impact games, and especially in key moments,\u201d Reid said.\u2029<\/p>\n
