CARY, N.C. \u2013 Reece Carter<\/a> has advanced to the Round of 32 on day three of the ITA All-American Championships at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.

\nCarter opened the morning with a straight-set victory over Utah’s Emmie Moore 7-5, 6-1. She moves on to face Georgia’s Sofia Rojas on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. PT.

\nErika Matsuda<\/a> fell in her opening match in three sets to Tennessee’s Elim Yan 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. She moves the qualifying consolation draw against Daria Smetannikov of Texas A&M at 6:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday.

\nThe doubles pair of Matsuda\/Carina Syrtveit<\/a> battled with 27th-ranked Roisin Gilheany\/Gloriana Nahum of Oklahoma but fell 6-3, 6-4. They move to the consolation draw at 1:00 p.m. PT against Washington State’s Eva Alvarez Sande\/Maxine Murphy.
