The New York Jets<\/a> experienced a heartbreaker in Week 3, losing 29-27 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The defense couldn’t prevent Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield from stringing together a game-winning drive after the special teams unit scored an incredibly late touchdown.<\/p>\n

With that, here’s what we learned from the Jets’ loss to the Buccaneers<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Tyrod Taylor is better suited to operate a pass-happy offense\"Sep<\/p>\n

Veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor earned the start in place of the injured Justin Fields. After Fields attempted 11 passes in Week 2, Taylor was 26-of-37 for 197 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Jets had to go pass-happy due to trailing the Bucs 20-6 at halftime, with running backs Braelon Allen and Breece Hall combining for just 15 carries.<\/p>\n

The Jets are playing hard for Aaron Glenn\"TAMPA,<\/p>\n

Leading 26-20 with two minutes remaining, Bucs kicker Chase McLaughlin lined up for a 43-yard attempt to extend Tampa’s lead to two scores. Will McDonald IV miraculously blocked the attempt and returned it for a touchdown and what appeared to be a heroic game-winning play. The Bucs ended up getting the ball back and hitting a game-winning field goal, but the block-and-score highlighted the Jets’ never-give-up attitude, and how hard they’re playing for Coach Glenn despite the 0-3 start.<\/p>\n

Turnovers continue to plague the offense\"Sep<\/p>\n

Taylor threw a pick-six touchdown to Bucs cornerback Jamel Dean. Taylor also lost a fumble. The Jets have committed one-or-more turnovers in every game this season. Their turnover differential of -4 is tied for second-worst in the NFL, and is largely responsible for the 0-3 start.<\/p>\n
