The Parramatta Eels came together last night to celebrate a year of resilience and growth at the prestigious NRLW Awards Night.<\/p>\n

Held at CommBank Stadium, the event brought together players and staff from the NRLW and Harvey Norman Women\u2019s Premiership squads, along with special guests, to reflect on the 2025 season and honour individual excellence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Abbi Church was named the NRLW Player of the Year in recognition of her consistent performance and outstanding leadership throughout the season. This marks her second time receiving the award, having also claimed the title in 2023.\u00a0
In accepting the award, Church expressed heartfelt gratitude for her journey with the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d really like to extend my thanks to the club for having me here for the last five years. The club is what gave me my NRLW opportunity, and I get to live the dream every single week when I put on the blue and gold,\u201d said Abbi Church.\u00a0
She also acknowledged the fans for voting her the recipient of the Blue & Gold Army Award and praised her teammates for their resilience in a season challenged by injuries and setbacks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many debutants and a lot of the girls that came through the pathways that didn\u2019t even know that they would be playing NRLW level this year and kept turning up week after week of training, putting in and getting the work done that it takes to be an NRLW player,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Awards were also presented for NRLW Rookie of the Year, NRLW Players\u2019 Player, NRLW Community, and for outstanding performances in the Harvey Norman Women\u2019s Premiership competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The night served not only as a celebration of on-field performance but also as a reminder of the strong culture and community that define the Parramatta Eels.\u00a0\u00a0
As the 2025 NRLW season ends, the club moves forward with pride and renewed purpose for 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
