As expected, the Brooklyn Nets announced on Monday afternoon they\u2019ll revive their 2018-19 City Edition uniforms, which honored hip-hop icon The Notorious B.I.G., for the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

The black uniforms feature a multicolored \u201cBrooklyn Camo\u201d pattern on the trim, side panels and logo on the shorts that was inspired by the Coogi sweaters worn by the late Brooklyn native<\/a>, whose real name was Christopher Wallace.<\/p>\n

That initially triggered a lawsuit against the Nets, Nike and the NBA<\/a> for trademark infringement, though the parties likely reached a settlement considering Brooklyn also wore a white version of the uniforms during the 2019-20 season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The only difference between the original uniforms and this year\u2019s set is the All In Won patch on the left shoulder, as the Nets agreed to a multi-year advertising partnership with the New York-based medical billing company this summer<\/a> after being sponsored by Infor from 2017-20.<\/p>\n

The Nets will wear the uniforms \u2013 which also feature a *BED-STUY* wordmark above the jock tag as a nod to the neighborhood where Biggie grew up \u2013 11 times this season, including Nov. 11 against the Toronto Raptors, when they\u2019ll have a Biggie bobblehead giveaway.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll be paired with a matching court in eight of those games, though it\u2019s unclear if it will be new or the same design as 2019-20<\/a>, with the \u201cBrooklyn Camo\u201d pattern around the logo at midcourt, sidelines and baselines, as well as a stylized crown inside the three-point line<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly excited to bring back our Biggie-inspired uniforms, paying tribute to one of Brooklyn\u2019s most enduring cultural icons,\u201d executive vice president of sports and corporate marketing Andrew Karson said<\/a> in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
