The new features include a new \u201cdating assistant\u201d AI chatbot that helps you find potential matches as well as a new \u201cMeet Cute\u201d feature that automatically matches you with someone using a \u201cpersonalized\u201d algorithm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">With the dating assistant, you can type out specific prompts to try and match up with certain types of people; Meta gives the example of \u201cfind me a Brooklyn girl in tech.\u201d The assistant can also help \u201clevel up your profile\u201d or offer dating ideas. The chatbot will be available in the Matches tab and is \u201cgradually\u201d rolling out in the US and Canada, Meta says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Meet Cute feature will pair you with someone every week and is \u201cideal for anyone who\u2019s tired of swiping and is looking for a fresh, easy way to expand their typical pool of dating candidates,\u201d Meta says. (OkCupid tried something similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themarysue.com\/new-okcupid-blind-date-app\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in 2013<\/a> with its Crazy Blind Date app.) Meta is \u201cexploring\u201d adding other time frequencies for the recommendations and you can opt out of the Meet Cute if you like.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Facebook Dating is getting new AI features to help users avoid \u201cswipe fatigue,\u201d Meta announced today.
