The rules for the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis fight have been\u00a0officially announced.<\/p>\n
Their exhibition bout on November 14 in Miami will take place over 10-rounds and will have an official winner announced, scored by three judges at ringside.<\/p>\n

Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian commented, “There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed and the [Florida Athletic] Commission had agreed to several conditions, including that the maximum weight would be 195lbs (13st 13lbs \/ 88kg).<\/p>\n
“When Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12oz gloves.<\/p>\n
“Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there’s a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.<\/p>\n
“And both men are enrolled in the highest level of testing with Usada (US Anti-Doping Agency).”<\/p>\n
Both boxers hold professional boxing licenses, but this exhibition bout will not be officially scored on their records.<\/p>\n
A fight of this absurdity would never be permitted in professional boxing due to the dangerous disparity in weight.<\/p>\n
Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) has fought as high as 227lbs before, but Baltimore’s Gervonta Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) has never weighed higher than 140lbs, which is an 87lbs weight difference, more than 6-stone.<\/p>\n
YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul said of ‘Tank’s’ style, “There’s a lot of holes in his defence that a lot of people haven’t exposed before.<\/p>\n
“I haven’t got a knockout in a long time, so I’m itching. I’m just excited to be able to deliver that for the fans and have another most viral knockout ever.”<\/p>\n
Davis replied, “Every time I fight, it’s fireworks. I’m much quicker than him. He’s much stronger and\u00a0bigger, but we all know it’s harder for taller to fighters to fight a shorter one.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“He’s decent and he’s going to hold up for a couple of rounds, but once it gets hot in there you know how things play out.”<\/p>\n
