Stevie Nicks<\/a>, a legend with Fleetwood Mac<\/a> and on her own, had already imagined what fame would be like in a letter to her parents and brother in 1973.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Nicks, now 77, shared the witty and knowing message she penned from a recording studio in Los Angeles\u2019 San Fernando Valley while still a few years away from superstardom:<\/p>\n

Dear Mom and Dad and Chris,<\/p>\n

Well, here I am \u2014 once again at the \u201cfamous\u201d Sound City Recording Studio. I am getting very tired of sitting around listening to 12 hours of music per day. Oh well, I know it will pay off in the end, and when I am sitting in my small but luxurious Beverly Hills home overlooking my small but tasteful pool that is totally secluded, where I can sun in the nude and tan my entire fat body while waiting for my plastic surgery leg lift \u2014 it will all be worth it. Otherwise, everything here is just \u201cpeach-y\u201d.<\/p>\n

At the time Nicks was in the midst of recording \u201cBuckingham Nicks\u201d with then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham. The album would catch the attention<\/a> of Mick Fleetwood, who asked Buckingham to join his band. But Buckingham insisted that Nicks be included in the deal. The rest is rock \u2019n\u2019 roll history.<\/p>\n

But in the letter, which she posted to mark the re-release of \u201cBuckingham Nicks,\u201d she was still just a young adult who wanted to make sure her family celebrated her birthday properly.<\/p>\n
