WBC Featherweight World Champion Stephen Fulton Jr. and WBC Super Featherweight World Champion O\u2019Shaquie Foster previewed their battle of champions during a virtual press conference Wednesday before they step into the ring on Saturday, October 25 as the co-main event of a PBC Pay-Per-View on Prime Video event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
Featherweight Fulton<\/a> and Super Featherweight Foster<\/a> will battle for O\u2019Shaquie\u2019s 130-pound world title in a champion vs. champion duel between two titlists both exuding confidence in victory.<\/p>\n The jam-packed four-fight card begins at 8pm ET\/5pm PT and is headlined by WBC Super Welterweight World Champion Sebastian \u201cThe Towering Inferno\u201d Fundora looking to continue his 154-pound reign against former unified world champion Keith \u201cOne Time\u201d Thurman.<\/p>\n Fulton has warned his opponent that there’s levels in boxing, but Foster views him as a good name on his resume.<\/p>\n Here is what Fulton and Foster had to say Wednesday:<\/p>\n STEPHEN FULTON JR.<\/p>\n \u201cFans can expect an action-packed fight. We\u2019re two young, hungry fighters putting it all on the line and leaving everything in the ring. We\u2019re gonna get in there and throw that leather. I will become three-division world champion.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a fighter and he believes in his skills. Same as me. I can\u2019t say anything bad about that. My job is to show him that there are levels and that experience matters. I\u2019m gonna show my talent as well.<\/p>\n \u201cThis fight is helping to put me in the Hall of Fame. It would help stamp it. That\u2019s why it\u2019s an important fight for me.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re taking things away from his game and focusing on my strengths. We\u2019re going to make enhancements with everything we do. We\u2019re working hard.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I gained more than I lost since fighting Naoya Inoue. That\u2019s allowed me to fight better. I\u2019m in a better headspace and really that loss is the best thing to happen to me. I know not to put my energy into things I can\u2019t control. If my mental is perfect, I fight perfect.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m gonna be a lot better in this fight at this weight. I\u2019m going to be more comfortable and closer to the weight I rehydrate to. There\u2019s no step too big when you\u2019re trying to be great.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just in a good space right now. I\u2019m happy and enjoying myself. That makes me a better version of myself in the ring.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mentality changed from losing and seeing who turned their back and how people treated me. Those life lessons forced me to be patient. I take that patience into the ring as well. It\u2019s a fast-paced sport, but you have to be patient.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of people say he\u2019s gonna win and a lot of people say I\u2019m gonna win. But none of those opinions matter when we get into the ring.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019SHAQUIE FOSTER<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be fireworks, but we\u2019re standing on business. That belt isn\u2019t going anywhere.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought he had nervous energy at our first face off. Whatever energy I bring, I\u2019m bringing the same energy every time. I have to look at these people like they\u2019re taking something off my plate. But I\u2019m not playing.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the biggest moment of my career because this fight will take me where I want to go in the sport. This is the most important fight of my career.<\/p>\n \u201cThis isn\u2019t gonna be like Terence Crawford moving up in weight. That\u2019s not happening. I\u2019m handling business.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t think it was that great a performance from Fulton in the rematch against Brandon Figueroa. It was a good performance and he won, but I feel like people are trying to make it something it\u2019s not. I thought he was actually better in the first fight.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think about the judges too much. If I\u2019m worried about that, I won\u2019t fight to my full ability. The first fight with Robson Conceicao, though, did teach me to not be complacent and finish strong. I\u2019m not trying to let it go to decision. I have to be consistent the whole fight.<\/p>\n \u201cWe could say I had a rough last year and I feel like ever since then, people don\u2019t think I\u2019m worthy of my status. People think it\u2019s sweet. But I know my potential and I\u2019ve made some changes. So you\u2019re gonna see a different me. I\u2019m gonna be the best, sharpest fighter that I\u2019ve been.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I\u2019m being disrespected. We\u2019re fighting for my title. I\u2019m planning on making everyone pay for it on October 25.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Fulton fight is the perfect opportunity for me to get an opponent who\u2019s more accomplished in front of me.
