Major League Baseball<\/a>‘s playoff race is going down to the wire with multiple postseason spots still up for grabs as the 2025 season approaches the final weekend.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland Guardians<\/a> have run down the Tigers atop the American League Central, a shocking comeback that may go down as one of the biggest collapses in baseball history<\/a> for Detroit. The rivals face off in Cleveland this week while scoreboard-watching the Houston Astros<\/a> and Boston Red Sox<\/a> in the wild-card race.<\/p>\n

In the National League, the New York Mets<\/a> fell out of a playoff spot for the first time since the beginning of April and have nearly completed an impressive meltdown of their own<\/a>, now fighting with the Cincinnati Reds<\/a> and Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> for the final NL wild-card spot.<\/p>\n
