Sharks gun Blayke Brailey could reportedly be set to become the NRL\u2019s next milliondollar star \u2014 but a \u201cgrave error\u201d means Cronulla are facing the prospect of losing their No.9.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old has arguably been the in-form player of the competition in 2025, coming off-contract and free to speak with rivals come November 1.<\/p>\n
According to Fox League\u2019s James Hooper, Sharks powerbrokers were \u201cslow out the gates\u201d and have tabled an offer worth well under market value.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think it\u2019s anywhere near where it needs to be,\u201d Hooper said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf I\u2019m looking at the Perth Bears, they are going to target players of the ilk and stature in the game, people like Tino Fa\u2019asuamaleaui, Blayke Brailey and Cameron Munster.<\/p>\n \u201cTo me, that makes a lot of sense. Great leaders, and an emerging young talent.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, The Daily Telegraph\u2019s Michael Carayannis also revealed Brailey\u2019s management are seeking a long-term deal.<\/p>\n \u201cThe other issue has been the length of the contract, Brailey\u2019s camp want five years. So it\u2019s a six-year agreement essentially to remain there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause he\u2019s got 12 months left on his contract.
