Brisbane Bullets superstar Casey Prather is like a fine bottle of wine, as he keeps getting better with age.<\/p>\n

The three-time NBL champion is currently in the midst of his career-best form with the Bullets, which saw him finish third in the NBL in scoring during the 2024-25 season and subsequently named in the All-NBL Second Team.<\/p>\n

Now this year, the 2021 Israeli League MVP has guided the Bullets to an unbeaten start to 2025-26 Hungry Jack\u2019s season, thanks to a 27-point effort against New Zealand in Round 1.<\/p>\n

And while the Tennessee-born Prather is 34, he\u2019s showing no signs of slowing down, rather believing he\u2019s got plenty of gas left in the tank.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I don\u2019t [think I can play until I\u2019m 40], but the majority of the time I do think I can make it to 40 or 41, especially with the technology these days,\u201d Prather said to The Australian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got years in the tank. I joke with coach Stu Lash that it isn\u2019t about my age, it is about the minutes played.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is all about me taking care of myself and just enjoying it. You can\u2019t take this stuff for granted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf god gives me another six years, I\u2019m going to take another six years. But if he tells me it is time to hang it up after two or three, then so be it, so I\u2019ll just take it as it comes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prather\u2019s Bullets will put their unbeaten start to the new campaign to the test this evening, when they play the Taipans at the Cairns Convention Centre.<\/p>\n
