The \u20ac12 million ($14 million USD) collaboration is funded by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmftr.bund.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Bildung und Forschung<\/a> and targets the development of a hybrid architecture for ion-trap quantum processors.<\/p>\n<p>The QuSTAC architecture aims to integrate precision semiconductor electronics directly into the quantum processor chip alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semicontaiwan.org\/en\/node\/14201\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">QUDORA\u2019s NFQC (Near Field Quantum Control)<\/a> technology. The project\u2019s objective is to deliver a quantum processor prototype with at least 100 qubits and multiple parallel computation registers. This integrated approach is intended to reduce complexity, improve stability, and provide a pathway to thousands of qubits.<\/p>\n<p>The project is a long-term partnership between two members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/qvls.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Quantum Valley Lower Saxony<\/a> ecosystem. The collaboration is positioned to strengthen the regional quantum backbone and advance Germany\u2019s position in quantum technology innovation.
