Leeds United<\/a> goalkeeper Illan Meslier<\/a> is expected to leave the club in the near future, and has now been linked with a stunning move to Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

The summer arrival of Lucas Perri as Leeds\u2019 new starting goalkeeper meant that the writing was on the wall for Illan Meslier.<\/p>\n

Dropped back in April for Karl Darlow and not seen in a competitive match since, Meslier\u2019s future looks set to be away from Elland Road.<\/p>\n

Meslier\u2019 contract expiring in the summer of 2026 means an exit isn\u2019t too far away for the Frenchman. Inter Milan are the latest club to be linked with his signature \u2013 per CalcioMercato<\/a> and others.<\/p>\n

The Nerazzurri have a \u2018keeper of their own with a dwindling contract. 36-year-old Yann Sommer looks set to leave next summer, and they are in the process of drawing up a shortlist now to plan for his exit.<\/p>\n

Meslier features on their list of targets, and InterLive<\/a> relay these claims. They share that he could prove to be an \u201cincredible coup\u201d for the San Siro club as a free transfer.<\/p>\n

However, there are suggestions that Leeds would like to maximise Meslier\u2019s worth by brokering a January exit for him. Interest supposedly remains from Rangers, Como, and Fiorentina among others.<\/p>\n

Given how low Meslier\u2019s stock has dropped since his performances under Marcelo Bielsa in 2021, you have to wonder how much we\u2019d sell him for now.<\/p>\n

That being said, it\u2019s good for Meslier that he\u2019s still being linked with these sorts of moves. You can see there\u2019s probably still a good top flight \u2018keeper in there.<\/p>\n

Meslier just needs to leave Leeds to get back to playing with confidence. A move to a Champions League giant like Inter Milan would be some shot in the arm for him.<\/p>\n
