Paul Merson doesn\u2019t have much good to say about West Ham right now.<\/p>\n
It has been a turbulent 24 hours at the London Stadium<\/a>, with Graham Potter being sacked at West Ham in a shock announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n This came after Potter took up media duty for West Ham<\/a>, answering a question on a funny and totally bizarre social media trend featuring his face on various celebrities and public figures.<\/p>\n Off the back of this, Potter<\/a> was told his time was up, and West Ham have since replaced him with Nuno Espirito Santo<\/a>.<\/p>\n The appointment of Nuno<\/a> hasn\u2019t reflected well on David Sullivan<\/a>, but it is activity elsewhere that has caused Merson<\/a> to take a swipe at the Irons.<\/p>\n There is no getting away from the fact that the Englishman deserved to be sacked after a terrible spell in charge of the E20 outfit.<\/p>\n West Ham lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace<\/a> last time out in yet another disappointing matchday at the Olympic Park.<\/p>\n This didn\u2019t go down well with the home supporters, sparking a mass exodus in a similar fashion to previous defeats against Chelsea and Tottenham.<\/p>\n Empty seats have now become a permanent feature of West Ham games at the London Stadium, turning the Hammers into a laughing stock elsewhere in English football.<\/p>\n This has been showcased by Merson while speaking on Sky Sports News on 27 September, as he watched Chelsea fall to a 3-1 defeat against Brighton.<\/p>\n Late goals from Maxim De Cuyper and Danny Welbeck secured three points for the Seagulls, prompting many home fans to leave, resulting in a dagger comment from the ex-England international.<\/p>\n He said, unprompted: \u201cThe full-time whistle goes and Stamford Bridge looks like the London Stadium.
