Carlos Ulberg just scored the biggest win of his career on Sunday afternoon in Australia, and he\u2019s already angling to get in an even bigger fight.<\/p>\n
Ulberg made good use of his UFC Perth main event spot to show off his continued improvement, flattening a resurgent Dominick Reyes just four and a half minutes into their fight (highlights here).<\/a> Now he\u2019s headed to Las Vegas to sit cageside for UFC 320,<\/a> where light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev rematches former champion Alex Pereira.<\/p>\n And if one of those two fighters has to pull out for whatever reason? Ulberg will be ready to step in.<\/p>\n \u201cI told [Hunter Campbell] I am prepared to be a backup for next week,\u201d the New Zealand fighter said at the post-fight press conference.<\/a> \u201cFly me to Vegas and I\u2019ll be there. I am not going to eat or drink anything today. Go spend some time with the family and if need be, I\u2019ll be there to backup anyone for that title shot.\u201d<\/p>\n There was no commitment given to that offer, other than a seat on Campbell\u2019s private jet back to Las Vegas.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just putting it in the air,\u201d Ulberg said. \u201cBut I\u2019m definitely flying out there. Hunter said, \u2018Yep, you\u2019re going to jump on the private jet,\u2019 and we\u2019re going to be there. At least we\u2019re going to be there, and I said if need be, I\u2019ll keep my weight to a minimum and I\u2019ll be there. It\u2019s those opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n
