Former TV host<\/a>Wendy Williams<\/a> is still fighting hard to end her guardianship<\/a>, but based on recent public sightings, she seems to be in high spirits. During one such outing with her lawyer, Joe Tacopina, he made a bold statement about her health and current situation.<\/p>\n

The lawyer spoke with TMZ<\/a> during a recent outing in New York City, replying to a question about what’s next by saying, “What’s next is hopefully justice…this process is really despicably slow.”<\/p>\n

“She’s the same Wendy Williams that you know from TV. Right?” Tacopina declared of Williams’ current health status. “She’s a person who’s in control of her faculties and is a great human being.”<\/p>\n

He went on, saying, “It sickens me. Honestly, this is not even about a case for me, it’s about a cause,” before describing the guardianship situation as “scary” and saying, “It’s hard to get out.”<\/p>\n

Tacopina also confirmed plans to sue the people behind Williams’ guardianship, telling TMZ, “Those who are responsible for her status, her, basically, incarceration, will be held accountable. There’s no question about that.”<\/p>\n

Williams, who stood by Tacopina’s side as he talked about his efforts to “get her back home,” also teased her plans to get back to work if their fight against the guardianship is successful.<\/p>\n

Her lawyer echoed this as he concluded, “She wants to get back to work, and she should get back to work. People love her. I’ve had more calls in support of her than I’ve ever had for any client.”<\/p>\n

Williams hired Tacopina as her lawyer earlier this year, at around the third-year anniversary of the start of her guardianship. In the past, Tacopina represented big names like Michael Jackson, Alex Rodriguez, and more recently, A$AP Rocky<\/a>.<\/p>\n
