UFC Perth <\/a>went down last night (Sat., Sept. 27, 2025) inside RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, which saw Carlos Ulberg stop Dominick Reyes via first-round knockout (see it again here<\/a>). In the co-headlining act, Jimmy Crute submitted Ivan Erslan via rear-naked choke (highlights<\/a>), while Neil Magny submitted Jake Matthews in the third and final round (see it again here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Title shot\u2026<\/p>\n

With nine straight wins inside the Octagon, Ulberg has more than earned his shot at the 205-pound title. That said, he has to wait to see how long it will be before he gets his turn, which will be determined after next weekend\u2019s championship rematch between division king, Magomed Ankalaev, and former champion, Alex Pereira. Should \u201cPoatan\u201d reclaim the strap in a close fight, a trilogy fight could very well be in order. If Ankalaev gets the nod again, the Ulberg could be fighting for gold in early 2026.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Dustin Jacoby<\/p>\n

Crute won his second straight fight thanks to an impressive submission over Erslan, his first back-to-back win streak in five years. Now, a fight against Jacoby could be on the horizon since he, too, has won two straight fights against Vitor Petrino and Bruno Lopes via knockout. Both men are still scratching and crawling trying to crack the Top 15, so one of them take a big step with a win.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Kevin Vallejos<\/p>\n

Jenkins walked away a big winner in more ways than one after defeating Ramon Taveras via unanimous decision by taking a percentage of his foe\u2019s purse for coming in heavy. That was \u201cPhar\u2019s\u201d first win in 2025, so he will look to build on this momentum moving forward. I like a fight between he and Vallejos next. Vallejos is 2-0 inside the Octagon after \u201cEl Chino\u201d earned his contract with a first-round knockout win on the Contender Series. Vallejos is 16-1 as a professional and has proven he has the legit talent to be a threat in the division.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Uros Medic<\/p>\n

There aren\u2019t a lot of people Magny has yet to face during his time inside the Octagon, but a fight against Medic sounds interesting. Medic is coming off a first-round knockout win over Gilbert Urbina just last month that took all of 63 seconds (see it again here<\/a>). Medic hasn\u2019t been able to get a whole lot going so far in his UFC career, though he does have a respectable 5-3 record.<\/p>\n

Who He Should Face Next: Kaue Fernandes<\/p>\n

After kicking off his UFC career with a tough loss at the hands of Nikolas Motta via first-round knockout, \u201cBig Train\u201d has turned it around and has now won four in a row, including last night\u2019s submission win over Charlie Campbell (highlights<\/a>). I wouldn\u2019t mind seeing him face off against Fernandez next since he, too, is on a nice little run. Indeed, Fernandez has won three straight fights after losing his debut bout back in 2023. \u201cThe Lumberjack\u201d was last seen defeating via first-round technical knockout (TKO).<\/p>\n
