{"id":177029,"date":"2025-09-29T07:34:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T07:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/177029\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T07:34:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T07:34:10","slug":"chelsea-loanee-scores-two-goals-in-two-minutes-just-hours-after-blues-defeat-to-brighton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/177029\/","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea loanee scores two goals in two minutes just hours after Blues&#8217; defeat to Brighton"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Chelsea\u2019s first team suffered more misery in the Premier League on Saturday, however one of their out-of-favour loanees enjoyed a stellar cameo off the bench.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues took the lead against Brighton at Stamford Bridge, but capitulated in the second half as a result of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/trevoh-chalobah\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trevoh Chalobah\u2019s<\/a> red card early in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>The atmosphere was toxic in West London as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/news\/worrying-chelsea-fans-reaction-to-enzo-maresca-at-stamford-bridge-during-nightmare-defeat-to-brighton\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chelsea fans begAn to turn on Enzo Maresca<\/a>, who is under significant pressure to deliver a result in the Champions League against Jose Mourinho\u2019s Benfica.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen whether the boss will make changes to his squad, with injuries to the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/cole-palmer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cole Palmer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/liam-delap\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Liam Delap<\/a> giving him less options in attack.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2187207635-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Istanbul Basaksehir v Goztepe - Turkish Super League\" \/>Photo by Ahmad Mora\/Getty ImagesChelsea loanee scores twice in two minutes after Blues defeat to Brighton<\/p>\n<p>As he struggles with what he has got to work with, a number of Chelsea loanees continue to prove their worth, including forgotten man <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/david-datro-fofana\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Datro Fofana<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The striker made a loan move to Turkish Super Lig side Fatih\u00a0Karagumruk, and scored in his debut off the bench in a losing effort.<\/p>\n<p>He was called upon again when they were being beaten by Trabzonspor, and even though they fell to a 4-3 defeat, Fofana did his best to save his side a point.<\/p>\n<p>The striker scored twice in two minutes in added time, seeing him reach a total of three goals in just 46 minutes since his move.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-1467339161-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Chelsea FC v Southampton FC -
