Hong Kong singer Sally Yeh<\/a> has a beautiful \u2014 some might even call it spiritual \u2014 bond with her granddaughter.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, the 63-year-old was enjoying a meal when she suddenly waved to her granddaughter, Lam Ming, who was seated behind the camera.<\/p>\n

When the one-year-old called out \u201cMama\u201d \u2014 meaning \u201cgrandma\u201d in Cantonese \u2014 Sally blew her flying kisses and gushed, \u201cI dote on her so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her obvious affection immediately prompted the host to ask why, if she loves children so much, she doesn\u2019t have any of her own.<\/p>\n

Sally has been married to Hong Kong singer George Lam<\/a> since 1996, but the couple have no children together.<\/p>\n

Lam Ming is the daughter of Alex Lam, George\u2019s son from his previous marriage to music executive Ng Ching Yuen. Sally also has a stepdaughter, April, and she has treated both stepchildren as her own over the years.<\/p>\n

“I don’t like children, but I feel like [Lam Ming] is my mum coming back to find me,” she said.<\/p>\n

When Sally\u2019s mother passed away in 2021, she found herself wondering: \u201cWill she return to find me?\u201d<\/p>\n

So it came as a shock when Alex and his wife, Candace, announced their pregnancy not long after.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was really fast. I even said I felt she would arrive in March, because my mum was born in March. The due date was March 15 \u2014 my mum\u2019s birthday. In the end, she came early, on March 11, which was my dad\u2019s birthday,\u201d Sally revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd she likes me exceptionally much,\u201d added Sally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The singer shared a mind-blowing experience with her granddaughter when the little one was just over a month old.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my room, my mum and dad\u2019s photos are pasted all over the wall. The moment she saw them, she pointed and said: \u2018Ma\u2019 [which means \u2018mum\u2019]. She didn\u2019t even know how to speak at that time,\u201d Sally recalled.<\/p>\n

Clearly taken aback, Sally gushed, \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Remarkably, while Sally was recounting the story, Lam Ming could be heard blabbering \u201cMother\u201d over and over.<\/p>\n

To this day, the baby still asks to visit Sally\u2019s room just to look at the photos of her great-grandparents, always pointing at them whenever she\u2019s inside.<\/p>\n
