He got to go to the Rider Cup this weekend, where <a href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25253521-michael-jordan-cooper-flagg-link-photo-2025-ryder-cup\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he met NBA legend Michael Jordan<\/a>. And he has Jayson Tatum singing his praises too: when ESPN asked him <a href=\"https:\/\/dukewire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/duke\/mens-basketball\/2025\/09\/28\/jayson-tatum-cooper-flaggs-nba-debut\/86399492007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">what rookies he was excited to see<\/a>, he said \u201cNumber one would have to be my man Cooper Flagg.\u201d They\u2019re both Duke guys obviously, but still, how cool is that?<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">One anonymous assistant expects Flagg to be a \u201ctop 25\u201d player and that \u2018[h]e\u2019ll be a borderline All-Star and the conversation will be about whether he should make it as a second-year guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Another assistant said \u201cYou don\u2019t go to Team USA [last summer] and do what he did and not have a chance [at being the best in the NBA].\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It must be nice being Cooper Flagg.
