{"id":178318,"date":"2025-09-29T20:06:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T20:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/178318\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T20:06:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T20:06:11","slug":"cadillac-hire-visionary-for-new-f1-role-and-poach-ex-audi-engine-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/178318\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadillac hire \u2018visionary\u2019 for new F1 role and poach ex-Audi engine boss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cadillac have announced Tyler Epp will become their global head of commercial strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Epp, who previously served as the president for the Miami Grand Prix, will take up the new position at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/teams\/cadillac\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cadillac <\/a>ahead of their F1 debut next season.<\/p>\n<p>Under Epp\u2019s leadership, the Miami Grand Prix enjoyed huge success, drawing sold out crowds and generating four of the five largest live US TV audiences in the history of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/news\" data-entity-type=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">F1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The race also secured an extension through to 2041 under Epp\u2019s leadership to make it the longest contracted event on the F1 calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac CEO Dan Towriss hailed Epp as a \u201cvisionary\u201d who can take the F1 team to the next level commercially.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We could not have found a better leader and visionary to build out the commercial arm of our team,\u201d Towriss said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His work shaping the Miami Grand Prix into one of the marquee events on the <a href=\"https:\/\/racingnews365.com\/formula-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> calendar demonstrates his unique command of the sport domestically and worldwide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/486e3050-3a61-f9a6-e82e-c2cb2e7d2f15.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Tyler Epp has joined Cadillac \" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Tyler Epp has joined Cadillac<\/p>\n<p>Epp said: \u201cI\u2019ve spent so much of my career in racing, and the past several years helping redefine what American motorsports can be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t think of a more exciting and promising opportunity to galvanise our sport in the United States and beyond than this one. The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is poised to become a global force in F1 that\u2019s rooted in American tradition and ingenuity, I\u2019m incredibly proud to join this effort from the very beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac F1 team principal Graeme Lowdon added: \u201cIt requires incredible leadership to successfully build a team from the ground up, and it takes someone exceptional to execute the type of vision and ambitions we have for the Cadillac Formula 1\u00ae Team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTyler has a proven track record of cultivating organisations that set the standard in Formula 1, and I\u2019m confident that his operational expertise will be a critical asset to our organisation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac land ex-Audi engine chief<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac are set to be boosted by the arrival of Adam Baker, according to German publication Motorsport Magazin.<\/p>\n<p>Baker was a former key member of Audi\u2019s F1 engine department but was replaced by Christian Foyer as part of a reshuffle behind the scenes earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Baker has reportedly signed to oversee Cadillac\u2019s in-house engine department, which will be housed in Charlotte, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac will be supplied engines by Ferrari from 2026 as part of a multi-year technical agreement.<\/p>\n<p>The American outfit will then use their own in-house F1 power unit at a later date.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to our F1 Newsletter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cadillac have announced Tyler Epp will become their global head of commercial strategy.
