Broncos<\/a> and Panthers legend Petero Civoniceva<\/a> has revealed the major differences between concussion protocols from 2006 to now after lifting the lid on his grand final podium fall.<\/p>\n

When the Broncos celebrated their last grand final victory 19 years ago, the players were starting to leave the podium after lifting the trophy.<\/p>\n

The majority of players opted to walk down the stairs but the champion prop decided to jump from the front of it.<\/p>\n

Cinvoniceva did not have a graceful fall, landing on his hand as Brad Thorn watched from above.<\/p>\n

Petero Civoniceva revealed the reason behind him falling. \u00a0Nine<\/p>\n

The Fiji and Kangaroos representative has now revealed the scary reason why it happened.<\/p>\n

“In the second half I got king hit by David Kidwell,” he said on Nine’s 100% Footy.<\/p>\n

“I was taking the ball deep off our line and didn’t see David Kidwell, he just blindsided me, I didn’t pick him up in my peripheral and he knocked me clean out.<\/p>\n

“The trainer saw my eyes rolling back, I said to the trainer ‘I’m right, leave me out here’.<\/p>\n

“Thank god for Casey McGuire, he got me through the second half. That’s the real reason I fell off the stage.”<\/p>\n

The Broncos won that match 15-8 with Shaun Berrigan awarded the Clive Churchill Medal.<\/p>\n

It was Brisbane’s sixth premiership and currently the last. <\/p>\n
