N\ufefficole Kidman<\/a> and Keith Urban<\/a> have separated after 19 years of marriage, People<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The Australian actress, 58, and\ufeff country singer, 57, married in 2006 and share two daughters, Sunday<\/a>, 17, and Faith, 14.<\/p>\n

“Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” a source tells the US publication, adding that the decision to separate came from Urban.<\/p>\n

“[Kidman] didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”<\/p>\n

The separation was first reported by TMZ<\/a>, with sources claiming the stars have been living apart since the beginning of the Northern Hemisphere summer.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It’s reported Urban moved out of the family home in Nashville, with Kidman and their daughters remaining.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“What the sources are saying is that she is doing her best to keep stability while Keith is in a different home\ufeff,” entertainment reporter Segun Oduolowu said on Today this morning.<\/p>\n

The pair’s last joint public appearance was in June, at the \ufeff2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis in Nashville.<\/p>\n

Kidman and Urban first met in 2005 at the annual G’Day USA gala in Los Angeles.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The stars were introduced at the gala, and while Urban was given the Oscar winner’s number, it took him several months to get up the courage to call her.<\/p>\n

“I had it in my pocket for a while. I kept looking at it thinking, ‘If I call this number, she’s going to answer. I don’t know what [to] say’,” he told Andrew Denton in 2018.<\/p>\n

The Parallel Lines singer admitted that he thought Kidman was “way out of my league.”<\/p>\n

Speaking to Vanity Fair in 2007, Kidman said they were both “very lonely people” and “a mixture of frightened and brave” when they were introduced at the gala. \ufeff<\/p>\n

A year after that first meeting, they tied the knot in Manly, Sydney.<\/p>\n

Kidman was previously married to Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Throughout their relationship, the couple\ufeff never shied away from public displays of affection on the red carpet and during awards ceremonies.<\/p>\n

During their more than a decade-long marriage, they adopted two children together: daughter Isabella Jane and son Connor Anthony.<\/p>\n

But in 2001, they decided to call it quits after 11 years.<\/p>\n

Cruise filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.<\/p>\n

Kidman had just come out of a relationship with musician Lenny Kravitz when she met Urban four years later.<\/p>\n

“I would probably say that two very lonely people managed to meet at a time when they could open themselves to each other,” Kidman said about her relationship with Urban.<\/p>\n

They went on to have a joyous relationship that spanned almost 20 years.\ufeff<\/p>\n

In May, Urban gave a heartfelt shoutout to his wife while on stage accepting the ACM Triple Crown Award at the Academy of Country Music<\/a> Awards.<\/p>\n

“I want to thank the ACM Academy for this \ufeffand my wife, Nicole Mary, who’s here tonight,” he said, referring to his wife by her first and second name.<\/p>\n

In June, \ufeffKidman shared a tribute to Urban on Instagram to mark their 19th wedding anniversary, writing, “Happy Anniversary Baby \u2764\ufe0f @KeithUrban.”<\/p>\n
